Adegas Guimaro is an estate winery in the Ribeira Sacra region
 region of Galicia, Spain. It makes wine under the Riberia Sacra DO.

Owners: The Guimaro family. Pedro Rodriguez. Prior to the establishment of the estate in 1991 Pedro’s family produced small quantities of wine for their own consumption and sold their wine in garrafones (20-litre glass containers). Luis Buitrón, an oenologist from León was instrumental in the creation of the Riberia Sacra D.O and helped the Rodriguez family begin estate–bottling their wines. Guimaro was one of the first wine estates to join the appellation in 1996.

Vineyards: 2016 9 hectares of estate vines plus 14 hectares of rented vines in the Amandi area of the Ribeira Sacra region. Vines on terraces.

Certification: 2016 No organic or Biodynamic certification.

White wines

Riberia Sacra Blanco Cepas Velhas: From old vine white wine grapes. | 2014 85% Godello, 15% Treixadura, 5% Donna Branca. Barrel fermented. No MLF. Bit of SO2. Very appealing (Real Wine Fair 2016).

Red wines

Riberia Sacra DO Tinto Joven:

Riberia Sacra DO Tinto Finca Meixeman: 2013 70 year-old Mencía vines. South-east facing. Granite and slate. 85% Mencia, 15% Others. Fermented in wooden tinajas. 45% whole bunches. Barrel aged. Bit of SO2. Refreshing red fruit and fluid tannins, a wine of levity at the Real Wine Fair 2016.

Riberia Sacra DO Finca Pombeiras: Made from Mencía. 100% whole bunches. Long fermentation of nearly two months, then barrel aged.
