BODEGAS BILBAINAS is a winery in the Rioja region of Spain producing 5 million bottles annually. It was bought in the 1990s by Codorniu, part of the Codorniu-Raventos group. Diego Pinella was hired to re-invigorate the winemaking, and he subsequently trained and was succeeded by Alejandro Lopez who had studied in both Rioja and Navarra, and had gained expericence in Chile, Italy and the USA

RIOJA WINES | The most prestigious brand is Viña Pomal, followed by La Vicalanda.
