Red wines

Rosso di Montepulciano DOC2010 85% Sangiovese, 10% Canaiolo, 5% Mammolo. Up to £7.99. Bacon aromas, baked fruit, Porty, deep but flawed I feel. No medal at DWWA 30th April 2013. | 2012 Odd nose, some fizz at the Anteprima 2014.

Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG: 2002 Dry and a bit stringy, seems to come from older wood, not bad in terms of flavour as some wildness here but a lack of selection and high yields mean it is rather ordinary; but could be good, but again not for keeping at the consorzio on Tuesday 8th March 2005. | 2008 85%Sangiovese, 10% Canaiolo, 5% Mammolo. | 2009 90% Sangiovese, 5% each Canaiolo & Mammolo. £8-14.99. Slightly sweaty saddle nose, drying out a bit on the palate (DWWA 2013). 14 Points. No medal. | 2011 Light nose, bitterness over lightweight fruit, uneven and a bit dirty (Anteprima 2014). | 2015 Horse stables, thin fruit tasted blind at the Anteprima 2018.

Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, Camaione2013 Acetic, sherry-like nose tasted blind (Anteprima 2018).
